The Schmidts

Our first BIG holiday in Germany. We were 5 months into living in Germany and were having waves of homesickness. Josh and Melanie Zambrano, our military family, came to live in Germany too in August. Boy were we ever so glad to be with them for the holidays. We invited them over for a Thanksgiving feast. FEAST we did and a lot of fun too. Thanksgiving feast! Justin requested a picture. We definitely had a feast.  Sam's silly face! Thanksgiving wasn't over with the food. We had to do games! Like who can toss the paper towel roll in a chair the most in a minute. Thanks Zambranos for an awesome Thanksgiving! We are ever so grateful for God's love, family, and the experiences God has allowed us to have.

Since we were unable to leave Sam for our first Anniversary trip and it was kind of a disaster, we decided to try again. Our military family, Josh and Melanie Zambrano had moved in and were so kind to watch Sam overnight. So we took off to Frankfurt. We were able to hit a temple session, take an evening stroll at the huge mall where we found a chinese buffet, German style. It was a needed trip. Moves are always stressful and a bit rough on our relationship. As many know, tough times worked through as a married couple create a stronger relationship in the end.
