Ben, Chantal, Jet and Eden Howell were new to the Jacksonville, Arkansas area like us and were good to share the Thanksgiving holiday with us. We missed being with family but it was sure fun to get to know these guys better and share with each other our different family traditions. Sam loved having playmates. He knows them by name and every Sunday on our way to church Sam is saying "Jet and Eden" because we see them at church. Thanks to the Howell's we had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
It took me a week to get a picture -- quite the funny story why on campus too. :) 4 weeks before this little guy gets here... he better not be late... and I am feeling more pregnant each day Just a few affects of pregnancy I am experiencing lately: groaning when I get up off the floor, or out of the car bumping into walls finding myself not fitting through those corners I used to fit through changing my workout because of belly bouncing too much or awkward pains not being able to STOP eating – I guess I am “eating for two” rubbing my belly my bum hurting after sitting in the same spot for a while – I am definitely all about finding a comfortable place to sit sleeping with a pillow between my legs - but still sleeping through the nights, yeah! waddling, or at least feeling like I am Look at the proud father to be --- and the stroller is taken apart to hand wash it. Timeline of exciting preparation happenings before the arrival of this bundle of jo...
Starting off the holiday right with Christmas shows in Branson right after Thanksgiving was the best thing ever. Got me right into the holiday spirit. I'm a real good procrastinator/a little behind the curve on most things; movies, holidays, what's trending, the news, pretty much anything. But the shows got me right in on Christmas! I just wish I would've started my shopping sooner to have more time to enjoy the good stuff. Hot chocolate snowmen Sugar plum fairy and Soldier parading at the ward Christmas party - they loved their costumes! I got to help out with Sam's class Gingerbread houses We did have presents wrapped and under the tree fairly early and the kiddos didn't bother them. Christmas class party at Sam's school and the Squadron Christmas party brought Santa in a C130J with books! Nora wasn't sure she was a fan of Santa still and Sam was really eyeing up Santa I'm afraid he's already asking questions! ...
The 15 Days have ended but not without some good night study sessions. This was the biggest one, before the most failed test. Not much has changed for me with the 15 days, Justin will still be there for about 12 hours, but Justin does not have to memorize as much and doesn't have the extra pressure of 'stand up' each morning. We made it through the hardest part of training! Well, actually as we have neared the end of it we are now finding out that the rest of training is pretty much the same. Ha ha, but onward we go. This last week or so I have come to realize that I call here home. It really does feel like home to me. I have established wonderful friendships in a rather short period of time and have been so grateful for the kindness of everyone. One day Sam was so ready for his afternoon nap and was crying pretty hard in the grocery store. So many people expressed sympathy and then a nice woman came over and took my cart back to the rack when I had finished emptying m...
