Robert, Stephanie, Riley and Lauren came to visit! We went to Bruges, Belgium together. It's a beautiful quaint village. Sam loved having Lauren as a playmate and we loved having family to travel with.
It's Friday night of Spring Break and we are sitting in the Engineering lab ...... Justin watching March Madness and me blogging. Some people may think it's a little on the boring side, but I have to say we are both quite enjoying ourselves. As Spring Break approached we were under the impression that we just might be welcoming our baby boy sooner than later. On March 6th, I was dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced..... the Dr said he could be here in 2-3 days or 2 weeks. Justin and I had a couple of sleepless nights after hearing this. Jumping at any sign of labor -- makes me laugh now. The days have passed by with few contractions and no real progress. I have to say my emotions have been all over. At times I so want to be done being pregnant and have this little boy in my arms and then the next minute I am soaking up the time Justin and I have left to easily (well 9 months pregnant easily) hop on the motorcycle for a ride up town. Going to the park with Sam has always been enjoyable, but lately it has become a lot more fun! Sam is a thrill seeker for sure! He loves going down the slide head first! Sam screams when we walk away from the swing - He loves swinging! He loves when we peep through the different holes Yes, he is crawling right to the slide, letting himself down head first
For the past month I have had twins! Well, kind of. Leo spends his Monday - Friday from 7:30- 3:30ish at our place and is 1 month younger than Sam. I've never really desired to have twins and I still feel that way, but it has been quite a learning experience and a lot of fun to have our friend Leo join Sam and I. Sam has thoroughly enjoyed having a playmate. I considered the pros and cons as I pondered and prayed about if it was right for our family and the pros weighed out and felt right. I love being a stay at home mom, most days :), and did not want to steer in any direction of not giving my full attention to my kids (right now, Sam) at home. It's so easy to forget the importance of the work at home and desire the success and accomplishments of the world. So easily I can compare my worth to what I bring in money wise or what projects I finish.
