Welcome 2012!

Yes, we were in St George as we welcomed in the New Year! Kaylee did a fantastic job covering our trip on her blog if you want to check it out! It was such a good time, so here goes my version.

 We arrived near Zion's National Park on December 30th after driving close to 6 hours.  After checking into our hotel, we drove through the park and because we still had daylight decided to do a short hike.
Here are the two happy couples. :)




King of the Rock!! Justin was full of energy after the long drive and so went rock hopping. I was pretty sure I would fall on my face if I tried. I feel a bit off balance lately, or scared to fall, one of the two.

 We enjoyed a royal dinner out at Olive Garden before returning to our Condo for the evening. Watched movies until 11:45 ish when we watched the ball drop and went outside to send our poppers flying. We came back in to toast to the new year!

 New Years Day started with church and then lots of games -- basketball, tennis, ping pong, Foosball, shuffle board, and pool.

Returning from the trip we enjoyed a week of little work and no stress and then we were ready to go back to real life. A great Christmas Break it was! Our last one as students -- well one of us being a student. :)

Engineering Lab vs. Hawaii

It's Friday night of Spring Break and we are sitting in the Engineering lab ...... Justin watching March Madness and me blogging.  Some people may think it's a little on the boring side, but I have to say we are both quite enjoying ourselves.  As Spring Break approached we were under the impression that we just might be welcoming our baby boy sooner than later. On March 6th, I was dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced..... the Dr said he could be here in 2-3 days or 2 weeks. Justin and I had a couple of sleepless nights after hearing this. Jumping at any sign of labor -- makes me laugh now.  The days have passed by with few contractions and no real progress. I have to say my emotions have been all over. Nashville, TN - January 30 to February 1

Justin passed his check ride with flying colors and he had a couple days off. So, we took the chance to go to Nashville, Tennessee! Our friends Trevor and Keely Park live there and we thought it would be a fun place to go see. Most of Justin's time off has been spent in Utah with family, which we love, but it was nice to be just the three of us The trip was 5 and 1/2 hours - that's w/o stops. On the way there we made it in 7 hours and on the way back we made it in about 9 hours. Let's just say we're good to not have another road trip for a while. Sam was a champ despite the long time in his car seat.  Our first stop was a science museum - we were there for 3 hours. It was fun for all of us.  These are parachute men Sam could move up and have them fall back down by using pullies.  Sam loved this T-Rex. It moved and made noises. Pregnancy Update

It took me a week to get a picture -- quite the funny story why on campus too. :) 4 weeks before this little guy gets here... he better not be late... and I am feeling more pregnant each day Just a few affects of pregnancy I am experiencing lately: groaning when I get up off the floor, or out of the car bumping into walls finding myself not fitting through those corners I used to fit through changing my workout because of belly bouncing too much or awkward pains not being able to STOP eating – I guess I am “eating for two”  rubbing my belly my bum hurting after sitting in the same spot for a while – I am definitely all about finding a comfortable place to sit sleeping with a pillow between my legs - but still sleeping through the nights, yeah! waddling, or at least feeling like I am Look at the proud father to be --- and the stroller is taken apart to hand wash it.
