June in Utah

For the month of June while Justin was waking up at 3 in the morning, attending classes and learning how to fly at IFS, Sam and I took time with the family back in Utah.

Calendar of events for Sam and I in June:
May 28- June 2: Fly to Utah, spent Monday and Tuesday in Salt Lake with Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt, went to Tremonton for the rest of the week. - Kaylee's baby shower Saturday and Skyped with Justin Saturday!
June 3- 9: Tremonton til Wednesday, then to Mesquite and Tuacahn Theaters
June 10 - 11: Salt Lake with Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt and attended Robert and Steph's Family Home Evening
June 12 - 21: Back in Tremonton with Grandma and Grandpa Barfuss
 Friday June 22 - Picked up Justin (Dad) from the Airport

Here are a few pictures to tell a bit of what we did - didn't take near enough.

Sam helped Grandpa mow the lawn, but came in for a nap before the lawn was fully cut - he was exhausted!

Grandma kept Sam entertained often with stories, the sewing machine, and lots of Grandma and Sam time.

We had lots of visitors - Grandpa Jess came regularly for chats, Grandma Della came several times to give Sam lots of loves.


I got to see my best friend Emma!

Sam and I had good times together all through the month.
Grandma Schmidt took lots of pictures when we were there, I just need to get a few from her. Sam and I enjoyed our time there too.

Engineering Lab vs. Hawaii

It's Friday night of Spring Break and we are sitting in the Engineering lab ...... Justin watching March Madness and me blogging.  Some people may think it's a little on the boring side, but I have to say we are both quite enjoying ourselves.  As Spring Break approached we were under the impression that we just might be welcoming our baby boy sooner than later. On March 6th, I was dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced..... the Dr said he could be here in 2-3 days or 2 weeks. Justin and I had a couple of sleepless nights after hearing this. Jumping at any sign of labor -- makes me laugh now.  The days have passed by with few contractions and no real progress. I have to say my emotions have been all over. At times I so want to be done being pregnant and have this little boy in my arms and then the next minute I am soaking up the time Justin and I have left to easily (well 9 months pregnant easily) hop on the motorcycle for a ride up town. Happy Halloween

Thanks to the Schmidt pumpkin patch  I have several cute little pumpkins I've always wanted and thanks to the Daniels party for the cute carved pumpkins that really set the Halloween tone! The Schmidt Sisters!  October 23rd we had the annual Grandpa Jess Birthday Party get together! I felt like it had been forever since the Daniels family had been together.  Not enough catching up happened for me, but it was sure fun to be around family and carve pumpkins. It helped me start to get into the Halloween spirit. Bummer that I did not take pictures at the party. But these pumpkins made me smile each day I saw them on our porch. Halloween was so much fun when you were a kid, but as I have aged the holiday has lost it's excitement. For Halloween this year we happened to be in Salt Lake with the Schmidts. The Park - 11 month old fun

Going to the park with Sam has always been enjoyable, but lately it has become a lot more fun! Sam is a thrill seeker for sure! He loves going down the slide head first! Sam screams when we walk away from the swing - He loves swinging! He loves when we peep through the different holes Yes, he is crawling right to the slide, letting himself down head first
