June in Utah

For the month of June while Justin was waking up at 3 in the morning, attending classes and learning how to fly at IFS, Sam and I took time with the family back in Utah.

Calendar of events for Sam and I in June:
May 28- June 2: Fly to Utah, spent Monday and Tuesday in Salt Lake with Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt, went to Tremonton for the rest of the week. - Kaylee's baby shower Saturday and Skyped with Justin Saturday!
June 3- 9: Tremonton til Wednesday, then to Mesquite and Tuacahn Theaters
June 10 - 11: Salt Lake with Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt and attended Robert and Steph's Family Home Evening
June 12 - 21: Back in Tremonton with Grandma and Grandpa Barfuss
 Friday June 22 - Picked up Justin (Dad) from the Airport

Here are a few pictures to tell a bit of what we did - didn't take near enough.

Sam helped Grandpa mow the lawn, but came in for a nap before the lawn was fully cut - he was exhausted!

Grandma kept Sam entertained often with stories, the sewing machine, and lots of Grandma and Sam time.

We had lots of visitors - Grandpa Jess came regularly for chats, Grandma Della came several times to give Sam lots of loves.


I got to see my best friend Emma!

Sam and I had good times together all through the month.
Grandma Schmidt took lots of pictures when we were there, I just need to get a few from her. Sam and I enjoyed our time there too.

Engineering Lab vs. Hawaii

It's Friday night of Spring Break and we are sitting in the Engineering lab ...... Justin watching March Madness and me blogging.  Some people may think it's a little on the boring side, but I have to say we are both quite enjoying ourselves.  As Spring Break approached we were under the impression that we just might be welcoming our baby boy sooner than later. On March 6th, I was dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced..... the Dr said he could be here in 2-3 days or 2 weeks. Justin and I had a couple of sleepless nights after hearing this. Jumping at any sign of labor -- makes me laugh now.  The days have passed by with few contractions and no real progress. I have to say my emotions have been all over. Nashville, TN - January 30 to February 1

Justin passed his check ride with flying colors and he had a couple days off. So, we took the chance to go to Nashville, Tennessee! Our friends Trevor and Keely Park live there and we thought it would be a fun place to go see. Most of Justin's time off has been spent in Utah with family, which we love, but it was nice to be just the three of us The trip was 5 and 1/2 hours - that's w/o stops. On the way there we made it in 7 hours and on the way back we made it in about 9 hours. Let's just say we're good to not have another road trip for a while. Sam was a champ despite the long time in his car seat.  Our first stop was a science museum - we were there for 3 hours. It was fun for all of us.  These are parachute men Sam could move up and have them fall back down by using pullies.  Sam loved this T-Rex. It moved and made noises. Pregnancy Update

It took me a week to get a picture -- quite the funny story why on campus too. :) 4 weeks before this little guy gets here... he better not be late... and I am feeling more pregnant each day Just a few affects of pregnancy I am experiencing lately: groaning when I get up off the floor, or out of the car bumping into walls finding myself not fitting through those corners I used to fit through changing my workout because of belly bouncing too much or awkward pains not being able to STOP eating – I guess I am “eating for two”  rubbing my belly my bum hurting after sitting in the same spot for a while – I am definitely all about finding a comfortable place to sit sleeping with a pillow between my legs - but still sleeping through the nights, yeah! waddling, or at least feeling like I am Look at the proud father to be --- and the stroller is taken apart to hand wash it.
